Here is the Brandz ranking report for 2007; its worth a read as it gives us an insight into how Google has gone about the process of brand building.

A very basic parameter that the Brandz people have used is the “dollar parameter”, which considers the brand value to be a function of the earnings. It’s nice to learn that there are still brand measurement exercises that consider earnings to be vital to a brand image. So even if “Image is everything” for a lot of us, there has to be some solid backing behind that image.
